At Modanville Public School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.

Our extra-curricular highlights

Creative and performing arts

Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. They can join in concerts, art shows and drama activities. Participating in the Lismore Performing Arts and Lismore Lantern Parade.

Lunchtime and interest-based clubs

Students can explore their interests, discover new passions, and develop new skills through lunchtime clubs, including Sewing Club, LEGO Club, and Coding Club. These clubs provide fun opportunities for creativity, teamwork, learning, and connecting with others.

Trips and excursions

Each class participates in excursions throughout the year and a camp for years 3-6. These are carefully planned by the teachers and are seen as important parts of the curriculum. The educational value, social contact and interaction support our school curriculum.

Debating and public speaking

Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.

Cooking

At our school, students enjoy cooking for special occasions such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and the Lismore Show. It is a great opportunity for students to learn new cooking skills and be involved in school activities.
